A three-foot-long derelict starship with a complete playable interior, catastrophic hull damage, a hollowed power plant, abandoned escape systems, and one unanswered question: what happened to the crew?
The Ghost Ship Ataphoi is 2nd Dynasty’s full-scale science-fiction derelict, custom printed at 28mm scale for tabletop roleplaying games, skirmish games, wargames, horror scenarios, and display.
Ataphoi drifts through the darkness bearing the evidence of a disaster that destroyed the ship without entirely erasing it. Its hull has been torn open in several places. Its power plant has been cored out. Escape systems have been disturbed or deployed. Interior compartments remain accessible, but whatever happened aboard has left the ship silent.
Was Ataphoi a science vessel testing an experimental technology? A clandestine military project? A survey ship that discovered something it should not have found? The model provides the evidence. The players must supply the answer.
Ghost Ship Ataphoi combines a Chimera-scale hull with extensive structural damage, twin side engines, and a large dorsal sensor array.
A Complete Tabletop Ghost Ship
- More than 90 centimetres, or approximately three feet, long at full 28mm scale;
- Suitable for approximately 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, and 32mm miniatures;
- Complete modular exterior and playable interior;
- Removable hull and interior sections for access during play;
- Multiple damaged and breached hull components;
- Exposed structural and internal areas;
- A de-cored and catastrophically damaged power plant;
- A large dorsal-mounted sensor array;
- Twin side-mounted engine assemblies;
- Forward airlock components;
- Emergency escape-pod installation;
- Interior and exterior parts drawn from several Chimera-family designs;
- One-inch-gridded areas suitable for tabletop movement;
- OpenLOCK-compatible modular construction; and
- A complete environment for exploration, salvage, boarding, and science-fiction horror scenarios.
Twin side engines give Ataphoi a distinctive aft profile unlike the standard Starship Chimera.
Evidence of Catastrophe
Ataphoi is not a clean spacecraft waiting to be damaged during play. The disaster is built directly into the model.
Broken hull plates expose internal structure. Breached compartments interrupt the normal lines of the ship. The power plant has been stripped or destroyed from within. Damage appears across the vessel rather than at a single obvious impact point, allowing the game organizer to decide whether Ataphoi suffered an accident, sabotage, mutiny, weapons fire, experimental failure, infestation, or something less easily explained.
These damaged areas function as playable terrain. Operatives can enter through breaches, move between exposed compartments, investigate surviving systems, recover remains, search for records, or discover that parts of the ship may not be as dead as they first appeared.
Hull breaches and the large dorsal sensor array immediately distinguish Ataphoi from the other Chimera-family ships.
A Complete Playable Interior
Beneath the damaged exterior is a modular interior designed for direct tabletop use. Hull and internal sections can be removed or separated to expose the ship during exploration and combat.
Ataphoi incorporates a mixture of familiar Chimera-family systems and specialized derelict components, including emergency equipment, access spaces, machinery, damaged compartments, escape systems, and the remains of the ship’s power and sensor installations.
The interior can be used exactly as supplied or rearranged by experienced hobbyists using compatible OpenLOCK and 2nd Dynasty components.
Removable hull and interior sections allow players to explore the derelict compartment by compartment.
Built for Exploration and Horror
Ataphoi can serve as a single enormous encounter or as a recurring campaign location.
- A salvage crew boards the ship to recover its experimental sensor system;
- A distress beacon begins transmitting years after the vessel disappeared;
- A military patrol discovers that the ship’s records have been deliberately erased;
- Escape pods are missing, but no survivors were ever recovered;
- The power plant was removed from inside the ship rather than destroyed from outside;
- Different sections appear to have failed at different times;
- A boarding party finds evidence that something continued operating after the crew died; or
- The ship begins responding to the presence of the investigators.
The model is equally suitable for science-fiction horror, salvage expeditions, boarding actions, alien encounters, rescue missions, archaeological investigations, military-intelligence scenarios, or any campaign requiring a vast abandoned spacecraft.
Airlock, escape-pod, machinery, and damaged-hull components create multiple entry points and investigation sites.
Expansion Components Included in the Base Ship
Ataphoi is sold as one complete physical starship. No configuration or optional-upgrade selection is required. The specialized components that create the Ataphoi design are already included in the listed price.
The complete kit incorporates the official Ghost Ship damaged-hull components together with selected Chimera-family expansion parts, including the twin side-engine assemblies, dorsal sensor array, forward airlock, PE-6 escape-pod installation, de-cored power plant, breached hull sections, exposed structural pieces, and the interior components required for the standard Ataphoi layout.
Some original designer materials describe these elements as expansions or upgrades because they were also released as separate digital products. That wording does not apply to this listing. Canvas Temple supplies the complete Ghost Ship Ataphoi, not a partial conversion kit requiring the purchase of another Chimera vessel.
Assembly Guide and Designer Information
Ataphoi is a large and complex multipart model. Review the assembly guide before gluing structural components, permanently joining hull sections, or assembling the damaged power-plant, sensor, engine, airlock, and escape-pod areas.
Other Chimera-Family Ships
The standard Starship Chimera, Pathfinder, Pegasus, Cerberus, and Odyssey are complete vessels with different hulls, interiors, instructions, and production requirements. They are sold through separate listings rather than as Ataphoi variants.
What You Will Receive
- One complete Ghost Ship Ataphoi;
- All standard damaged exterior and modular interior components;
- The dorsal sensor-array components;
- The twin side-engine assemblies;
- The de-cored power-plant components;
- The standard hull-breach and exposed-structure sections;
- The forward-airlock components;
- The PE-6 escape-pod installation included in the Ataphoi design;
- Printed clips and connection components required for standard assembly;

- Replacement of materially damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing components.
Miniatures, paint, tools, glue, scenery, lighting equipment, batteries, wiring, electronics, and reinforcement materials are not included. Filament color may vary because the model is intended to be prepared and painted by the purchaser.
Printing and Production
This model is custom printed to order in PLA plastic using licensed 2nd Dynasty design files. Components are printed slowly at approximately 0.12–0.16mm layer height, depending upon the dimensions and requirements of the individual part.
Ataphoi is an exceptionally large project containing a complete Chimera-scale interior, multiple damaged hull sections, twin engines, a sensor array, escape systems, and specialized derelict components. Please allow approximately 6–10 weeks for printing, inspection, organization, packing, and shipment. Production time may vary according to the current printing queue.
Important Information About 3D-Printed Models
Layer lines, support-contact marks, minor surface texture, and small cosmetic variations are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing and are not defects. Some preparation may be required before assembly and painting.
The broken, missing, breached, and exposed sections shown in the product images are intentional features of the Ataphoi design and are not printing defects or missing components.
PLA models should be stored indoors and protected from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight. This product contains small components and is intended for hobbyists age 14 and older.
