Optional Chimera Upgrades

A two-foot-long, three-deck civilian starliner with passenger sleeping pods, crew berths, dining facilities, a forward boarding ramp, and a complete playable interior.

The Chimera Pegasus is 2nd Dynasty’s dedicated civilian passenger transport, custom printed at full 28mm scale for tabletop roleplaying games, skirmish games, wargames, and display.

Where the standard Chimera is a heavy cargo carrier, Pathfinder is an exploration vessel, and Cerberus is a gunboat, Pegasus is designed to move civilians comfortably between worlds.

At approximately 24 inches long, Pegasus contains three complete passenger-themed decks, a distinctive squat forward hull, an angled underside, three exterior engines, multiple airlocks, and a forward ramp. It can serve as a commercial liner, colonial transport, diplomatic shuttle, refugee vessel, luxury charter, corporate passenger ship, or complete tabletop adventure location.

The Pegasus exterior is distinguished by its blunt nose, passenger windows, angled underside, three-engine arrangement, and surface landing gear.

Three Playable Passenger Decks

The Pegasus interior is arranged across three separate levels designed around passenger movement, accommodation, crew operations, food service, and access between the ship and its destinations.

Lower Deck

The lower level provides utility, cargo, access, machinery, and support spaces. Its forward ramp allows passengers, supplies, and equipment to enter the vessel directly from the surface.

Main Deck

The central passenger deck contains the principal seating, dining, circulation, and service areas. Tables, chairs, control panels, kitchenette facilities, and the aft restaurant or lounge create an interior suited to civilian travel rather than military or industrial operations.

Upper Deck

The upper level provides additional passenger and crew accommodation, including sleeping pods, crew berths, seating, and access to the ship’s upper compartments.

Passenger Travel Between the Stars

Pegasus is designed around the needs of people rather than cargo or weapons. Its passenger compartments, sleeping facilities, food-service spaces, tables, seating, multiple airlocks, and forward ramp make it suitable for both routine civilian transport and more unusual journeys.

On the tabletop, Pegasus can host diplomatic missions, refugee evacuations, passenger disputes, customs inspections, rescue operations, hijackings, medical emergencies, mechanical failures, clandestine meetings, smuggling investigations, or the discovery that one of the passengers is not what the manifest claims.

Removable deck and hull sections provide direct access to the passenger seating, crew compartments, service spaces, and operating areas.

Standard Pegasus Equipment

The standard Pegasus contains all components required to create the complete civilian passenger vessel. No configuration choice is required.

  • Complete three-deck passenger interior;
  • Passenger sleeping pods and crew berths;
  • Tables, seating, control panels, and kitchenette components;
  • Aft restaurant or lounge furnishings;
  • Three standard engine assemblies;
  • Forward ramp and standard access components;
  • Airlocks on each level;
  • Standard landing-gear components; and
  • Complete exterior hull and removable deck sections.

The older designer package titled Chimera Pegasus Upgrade contains the conversion components used to create Pegasus from the standard Chimera platform. Those distinguishing components are already incorporated into this complete physical Pegasus and are not sold as an additional option.

Optional Pegasus Upgrade

The standard Pegasus is a complete physical passenger starship without any optional additions. Customers may add the following official upgrade:

  • PE-6 Escape Pod Set: Adds the official emergency escape-pod installation together with the compatible mounting and interior components included in the Pegasus package.

The escape-pod installation may replace or rearrange particular interior or hull components. Canvas Temple will contact the purchaser before production if the installation requires clarification.

Assembly Guide and Designer Information

Pegasus is a large and complex multipart model. Review the assembly guide before gluing structural components, permanently joining deck sections, or installing the optional escape-pod system.

The PE-6 Escape Pod Set is the only optional upgrade currently offered with the Pegasus.

The standard Pegasus is already a complete physical passenger starship.
The escape-pod option adds the official PE-6 components to the complete printed ship. Designer wording stating that a base model is required refers to the separately sold digital files.

Printing and Production

This model is custom printed to order in PLA plastic using licensed 2nd Dynasty design files. Components are printed slowly at approximately 0.12–0.16mm layer height, depending upon the dimensions and requirements of the individual part.

Pegasus is a major three-deck project with a complete passenger interior, three engines, removable hull sections, and numerous furniture, accommodation, service, and access components. Please allow approximately 4–7 weeks for printing, inspection, organization, packing, and shipment. Production time may vary according to the selected escape-pod option and the current printing queue.

Important Information About 3D-Printed Models

Layer lines, support-contact marks, minor surface texture, and small cosmetic variations are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing and are not defects. Some preparation may be required before assembly and painting.

PLA models should be stored indoors and protected from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight. This product contains small components and is intended for hobbyists age 14 and older.
