The Chimera Cerberus is 2nd Dynasty’s dedicated patrol and interdiction vessel, custom printed at full 28mm scale for tabletop roleplaying games, skirmish games, wargames, and display.

Where the standard Chimera is a massive cargo carrier and Pathfinder is an exploration vessel, Cerberus is built for combat. Its narrower hull sacrifices freight capacity in favor of weapons, propulsion, crew stations, military systems, and a profile reminiscent of an oversized heavy bomber.

At approximately three feet long, Cerberus can serve as a patrol gunboat, customs interceptor, privateer, anti-fighter platform, military courier, convoy escort, pirate vessel, or complete tabletop boarding-action location.

The Chimera Cerberus combines a narrow military hull with three engines, articulated weapons, wing structures, and a heavily armed exterior.

Designed for Patrol and Interdiction

Cerberus is intended to police trade routes, intercept hostile or unauthorized vessels, escort convoys, suppress small craft, and project force without deploying a capital ship.

Its nine weapon emplacements provide coverage across the vessel’s dorsal, ventral, forward, and lateral approaches. Twin torpedo tubes provide heavier striking power, while the three-engine layout gives Cerberus a distinctly aggressive propulsion profile.

On the tabletop, the ship supports customs inspections, convoy actions, prisoner transfers, boarding operations, anti-piracy missions, weapons failures, mutinies, damage-control scenarios, and close-quarters combat across multiple decks.

Removable hull and deck components provide direct access to the complete interior during play.

Three Playable Decks

The Cerberus interior is distributed across three levels. Its internal volume is slimmer than that of the standard Chimera and is organized around military operations rather than bulk freight.

The decks provide command, crew, weapons-control, engineering, passage, equipment, and limited cargo spaces. The modular construction allows individual areas to be exposed during play without requiring the entire ship to be disassembled.

The military interior is especially well suited to boarding actions and compartment-by-compartment engagements, where control of command spaces, weapons systems, engineering areas, torpedo installations, and access routes matters as much as destroying opposing models.

Standard Weapons and Equipment

The standard Cerberus already includes its normal engine, torpedo, turret, and weapon components. Customers do not need to purchase a separate weapon package to receive a complete patrol gunboat.

• PE-6 Escape Pod Set: Adds the official emergency escape pods together with the compatible installation and mounting components supplied for the order.
• Alternate Side Weapon Set: Replaces the standard side equipment with selected official alternate weapon components. This option does not replace all nine standard weapon emplacements.

Optional Cerberus additions replace or supplement particular hull or interior components. Canvas Temple will contact the purchaser before production if a selected installation requires clarification or cannot be fitted exactly as ordered.

The Cerberus is also compatible with selected components from 2nd Dynasty’s Chimera Support Upgrade, including revised structural parts designed to accept 6mm reinforcement rods and slide-in bulkheads. Because the required components and installation may vary with the selected configuration, this upgrade is available only by prior arrangement and requires a separate quotation. Reinforcement rods are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation.

Assembly Guide and Designer Information

Cerberus is a large and complex multipart model. Review the assembly guide before gluing structural pieces, installing support rods, or permanently attaching weapon and engine components.

Other Chimera-Family Ships

The standard Starship Chimera, Pathfinder, Pegasus, Ghost Ship Ataphoi, and Odyssey are complete vessels with different hulls, interiors, instructions, and production requirements. They are sold through separate product listings rather than as Cerberus variants.

Miniatures, paint, tools, glue, metal reinforcement rods, batteries, lighting components, wiring, scenery, and electronics are not included. Filament color may vary because the model is intended to be prepared and painted by the purchaser.

Components associated with the separately quoted Chimera Support Upgrade are included only when expressly stated in the approved quotation.

Printing and Production

This model is custom printed to order in PLA plastic using licensed 2nd Dynasty design files. Components are printed slowly at approximately 0.12–0.16mm layer height, depending upon the dimensions and requirements of the individual part.

Cerberus is an exceptionally large three-deck project with three engines and numerous weapon, torpedo, hull, and interior components. Please allow approximately 5–8 weeks for printing, inspection, organization, packing, and shipment. Production time may vary according to selected additions and the current printing queue.

Important Information About 3D-Printed Models

Layer lines, support-contact marks, minor surface texture, and small cosmetic variations are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing and are not defects. Some preparation may be required before assembly and painting.

PLA models should be stored indoors and protected from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight. This product contains small components and is intended for hobbyists age 14 and older.
