These Conditions of Use govern your access to canvastemple.com and purchases from Canvas Temple Publishing, LLC (“Canvas Temple,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Conditions of Use.

Customer Accounts

A customer account is required to place an order through this website. You agree to provide current and accurate information and to update that information when necessary.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or place the order with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Products

Canvas Temple publishes or produces the products sold through this website. Products may include roleplaying and miniatures books, novels, boxed games, supplements, and small-batch 3D-printed gaming terrain.

We make reasonable efforts to describe and depict products accurately. Colors, dimensions, appearance, packaging, and other details may vary slightly from photographs or descriptions because of monitor settings, printing processes, production changes, and the nature of small-batch manufacturing.

3D-Printed Terrain

3D-printed terrain is produced in small batches and may be manufactured after an order is received. Minor layer lines, support marks, texture differences, color variations, and other characteristics inherent to 3D printing are normal and are not considered damage or defects.

Product listings will identify the contents, approximate dimensions, material, scale, finish, assembly requirements, and estimated production time when applicable. Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, terrain is supplied only in the condition described on its product page.

Prices and Availability

Prices are stated in United States dollars and may change without notice. A price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

Products are offered subject to availability. We may correct typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions, incorrect prices, inventory errors, or other mistakes. If a material error affects an order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate opportunity to proceed with corrected information or receive a refund.

Order Acceptance

Submitting an order does not by itself require Canvas Temple to accept or fulfill it. We may decline or cancel an order because of inventory problems, pricing errors, suspected fraud, payment failure, shipping restrictions, or other reasonable business concerns.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue an appropriate refund to the original payment method.

Payment

Payments are processed through PayPal or Square. Orders will not be fulfilled until payment has been successfully authorized or completed.

Your use of PayPal or Square may also be governed by the payment provider’s own terms and policies.

United States Shipping Only

Canvas Temple ships only to addresses within the United States. We do not currently accept orders requiring delivery outside the United States.

Shipping charges, available methods, and any applicable production or processing estimates will be displayed during checkout or stated on the relevant product page.

Delivery dates supplied by a carrier are estimates. Canvas Temple is not responsible for carrier delays, weather disruptions, incorrect addresses supplied by a customer, or other events outside our reasonable control.

If we cannot ship within a promised period, or within the period otherwise required by applicable law, we will provide any notice, cancellation option, consent request, or refund required by law.

United States Customers Only

Canvas Temple accepts orders only from customers located in the United States. Physical products may be shipped only to valid United States delivery addresses.

Downloadable STL products are likewise sold only to customers located in the United States. A United States customer account and billing address are required to purchase or access downloadable products through this website.

Canvas Temple may decline or cancel an order when account, billing, payment, or location information indicates that the customer is outside the United States or has provided inaccurate information concerning their location.

Order Cancellations

Orders for stocked books, games, and other non-terrain physical products may be cancelled before shipment. A cancellation request is not effective until it has been received and confirmed by Canvas Temple.

Orders for 3D-printed terrain may not be cancelled after they are placed. Terrain may enter preparation or production shortly after an order is received, and materials and production capacity may be committed specifically to that order.

This cancellation restriction does not eliminate any right to a refund or cancellation that cannot lawfully be waived, including rights that may apply if Canvas Temple cannot ship within a required or promised period.

No General Returns

All sales are final. Canvas Temple does not accept returns or exchanges because a customer changes their mind, orders the wrong item, no longer wants the product, dislikes a product after receiving it, or experiences a minor variation that was disclosed as part of the product or production process.

This policy applies to books, boxed games, supplements, and 3D-printed terrain.

Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Incomplete Orders

Canvas Temple will replace a product that arrives materially damaged, is materially defective, is the wrong product, or is missing components that should have been included.

Please use the Contact Us form promptly after delivery and provide:

• Your name and order number;
• A description of the problem;
• Photographs showing damage, defects, incorrect contents, or packaging when reasonably requested; and
• Any other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the problem.

Canvas Temple may replace the affected item or component rather than replacing the entire order. If replacement is not reasonably possible, we may provide another legally appropriate remedy.

Damage caused after delivery through misuse, improper storage, modification, painting, assembly, accident, or ordinary wear is not eligible for replacement.

Downloadable STL Products

Canvas Temple may sell downloadable STL files for use with customer-owned 3D printers. A digital-product listing is for the identified file or file package only. No physical model, miniature, terrain piece, printed object, storage device, or other physical product will be supplied unless the listing expressly states otherwise.

Access to a purchased download may be limited by a stated access period or number of permitted download attempts. Customers are responsible for downloading and securely retaining their purchased files during the period in which access is available.

Downloadable products are nonreturnable and nonrefundable once access to the files has been provided, except where required by law or when the supplied files are missing, corrupted, materially defective, or substantially different from the product description and Canvas Temple cannot provide a working replacement.

Customers are responsible for confirming that they possess compatible equipment, slicing software, materials, and sufficient technical knowledge to use an STL product. Canvas Temple does not guarantee a particular printing result because results depend upon equipment, calibration, materials, settings, supports, orientation, environment, and operator experience.

STL License

Purchase of an STL product grants the purchaser a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to download and use the files in accordance with the license stated on the product page and these Conditions of Use. Copyright and all other intellectual-property rights remain with Canvas Temple Publishing.

Unless a product listing expressly grants broader rights, the purchaser may print copies for the purchaser’s own personal, noncommercial use. The purchaser may not sell, sublicense, share, upload, distribute, exchange, transfer, or otherwise provide the STL files or modified versions of them to another person.

Unless expressly authorized by a separate commercial license, the purchaser may not sell printed copies, accept payment for printing the files, use the files in a print-on-demand service, include them in another commercial product, or use rendered images or derivatives of the files commercially.

The purchaser may resize, support, orient, and make minor technical modifications to the files solely for permitted personal printing. Such modifications do not transfer ownership or create a right to distribute the original or modified files.

Intellectual Property

The website and the books, rules, fiction, artwork, product descriptions, logos, graphics, files, and other materials published or sold by Canvas Temple are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

Purchasing a product transfers ownership of that physical copy only. It does not transfer copyright, trademark rights, publication rights, or permission to reproduce, distribute, upload, scan, resell digitally, commercially exploit, or create unauthorized copies of the work.

You may use purchased products for their ordinary personal and tabletop-gaming purposes. Any broader reproduction, distribution, commercial use, or republication requires prior written permission unless expressly permitted by law or by a license included with the product.

Acceptable Use of the Website

You may not use this website to:

• Commit fraud or submit false account, payment, or shipping information;
• Attempt unauthorized access to an account, server, database, or administrative system;
• Introduce malicious code or interfere with the operation or security of the website;
• Scrape or reproduce substantial website content for unauthorized commercial use;
• Impersonate another person or entity; or
• Violate applicable law or the rights of Canvas Temple or another person.

We may restrict or terminate access to the website or an account when reasonably necessary to protect customers, prevent fraud, enforce these terms, or maintain website security.

Website Availability

We try to maintain an accurate and functional website, but do not guarantee that the site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available. We may modify, suspend, maintain, or discontinue website features when reasonably necessary.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided on an “as available” basis. Canvas Temple disclaims warranties concerning uninterrupted website operation or the absence of technical errors except for warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Canvas Temple will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from use of the website or a product. Nothing in these Conditions excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Indemnification

You agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses reasonably arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, violation of these Conditions, infringement of another person’s rights, or fraudulent activity conducted through your account, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Conditions and transactions through this website are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute that is not otherwise resolved shall be brought in a court having lawful jurisdiction in Maryland, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.

Changes to These Conditions

We may revise these Conditions from time to time. Revisions apply prospectively beginning when they are posted, unless another effective date is stated. The terms in effect when an order is accepted will govern that order.
