The argument
CAD holds that efficiency is the ultimate moral good, and that any deviation, human or mechanical, is a flaw to be corrected. Their society is managed by the Logic Engine, a proprietary expert system that analyzes data and calculates the most probable and efficient outcome for any situation. The result is remarkably stable. It is also sterile, oppressive, and spiritually hollow, and CAD would tell you that those are acceptable costs and ask what you would trade them for.
How they fight
Their technology prioritizes reliability, modularity, and cost. Their armored Crawler tanks are not the most advanced machines in the Wake and were never meant to be. They are easy to mass-produce and easy to maintain. Doctrine is Predictive Attrition, run by the Logic Engine, which treats every asset as a quantifiable resource to be spent in the statistically most efficient way to achieve victory.
How they see you
As a variable in an equation. CAD is the largest single contractor of mercenary companies in the Wake, and it regards them as expendable algorithms in human form: contracted, optimized, discarded. Every interaction is transactional. There is no malice in it, which is what people find hardest to forgive.
The fracture inside
Zealots against Pragmatists. One camp believes the Logic Engine's output is functionally infallible and should be followed without human review. The other believes the Engine is a tool and that treating a tool as an oracle is itself an inefficiency. Both are prepared to be ruthless about it.
CAD forces are disciplined, well-supplied, and built to grind. They win by making your losses cost more than theirs, and the math usually works.
